Girl Scout Handbook

Aw, when I was trying to decide what college-age zines of mine to repost here, I completely forgot about my Girl Scout Handbook, a sad yet hopeful college freshman's rewrite of an old version of the Girls Scout Handbook, found in a thrift store or belonging to a house mate I think.  I published my version in December 1997.  In case you can't tell, the 2 handsome boys pictured w/in these pages, one blonde and one w/ dark hair, are both me.  xoxo princesa robin

Cooper Edens I also need you

IN addition to the below, there are 2 other books I have been so needy for lately too:

These are beautiful, sort of hippie-ish books that I adored when I was younger.  I was able to track down an affordable copy of each though, and can't WAIT to get them in the mail.  Look at some of this dreamy art:

I want it so bad - The Rainbow Box

Sometimes I get temporarily crazy looking for a thing I had and loved in my childhood.  the past few days it has been this series of books:

This series is called the Rainbow Box.  I luckily still own my favorite book from it, the Rabbit Box, a long poem that I often quote (including in the "about me" statement of my Facebook page for whatever that's worth).  These books are incredibly out of print and expensive if you can manage to find them.  My hope is that someone's hippie mom bequeathed these books to you and you don't have room for them in your book case and want to give/trade or sell them to me.

Share Bear

Last week I read a beautiful Edith Wharton book called House of Mirth.  I downloaded it on this great website of free downloads of books that have fallen out of copyright, Project Gutenberg. Here is a link to it if you are interested:

Well, while I'm sharing links, can you believe how this kid turned out?:

Rock N' Roll Suicide

My friend Jocelyn and I did this zine as a collaboration. Here are some of my entries. We wrote some responses to male song lyrics that we'd felt strongly about 💋💋💋💋
